You Have the Answer
“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want.” – Lao Tzu
This quote rings true to me. However, in today’s society how do we find the time to reflect inwardly to discover who we are and what we want?
With Reiki practice, I find that once we give the permission to allow ourselves an hour or even just a half hour once or twice a day to be alone to relax and concentrate, we can better discover just who we are. Reiki sessions allow us to be still. To be quiet. To let the chatter in our mind diminish so that we can then listen to our innermost thoughts and intuitions. We become connected with our own self, with who we truly are. When that connection is made, we naturally feel happy, peaceful and renewed. Refreshed. Clear minded. That is my intention in distance reiki. To assist you by helping you to give yourself permission to take the time you deserve on your path to discovering who you truly are, so that you can become who you are.
Ah…but how does that really happen in today’s world? Let’s be realistic. In day-to-day life it is not feasible to take a month off of work and leave your family and friends to attend a retreat to rejuvenate your spirit and get you back on track. (Come to think of it, when was the last time you felt “on track?”) There are so many “have to’s” on our list each day, right? Have to go to work, have to pick up the groceries, have to feed and walk the dog, have to go to the soccer game, have to answer email, have to eat, have to cook, have to get dressed, have to do laundry, have to drive, have to check Facebook and Twitter, have to stop for a coffee, have to meet for a drink, have to exercise, have to eat right, have to go the doctor because we haven’t been exercising and eating right, have to stop smoking, have to call mom, have to plan my vacation so I can relax. Ahhhh! What we “have to” do is relax every day! Find even a few minutes between tasks to breathe deeply, let our muscles relax, and envision what we want…and who we want to be.
By practicing Reiki healing you’ll find that those few minutes a day that you allow yourself for relaxation pay you back 10 fold. Reiki can be defined in modern terms as a time to be selfish and connect with your inner self to listen to the knowing you already have inside of you. You don’t have to search for it. It’s already there. You know who you are and you know what you want. Reiki allows you the time to reflect on that knowledge and eventually provides you with the answers you need personally to become who you are.
In time you’ll notice that you feel more balanced and centered. You’ll be more relaxed and less likely to stress over everyday “have to’s”. That is my goal…it’s very simple. To provide you with the tools and healing to get you to the point that you allow yourself relaxation and inner peace. My hope is that by practicing Reiki you can manage your everyday life while on the path to rediscovering who you really are. Real Life Reiki.
